Seit meinem ersten Vortrag tiber "Die Therapie der Rauschmittelabhangigkeit" 1971 auf dem 1. KongreB der European Association of Behaviour Therapy, der gemeinsam mit der 3. Tagung der deutschen Gesellschaft zur Forderung der Verhaltenstherapie in Mtinchen stattfand (vgl. FuBnote), sind eine betrachtliche Anzahl von Therapietexten auch in deutscher Sprache verfaBt worden. Ich bin der Meinung, daB der vorliegende Text tiber die "Selbstkontrolle bei rauschmit- telabhangigen Klienten" von Franz-Josef Feldhege ein besonders ausgezeichne- tes Manual darstellt, insofern als es in sehr klarer Diktion auf die Bedtirfnisse der Praxis und der theoretischen Verstandigung in der Praxis abgestellt, sowie fest in der gegenwartigen experimentellen Psychotherapieliteratur verankert ist. Therapeuten akzeptieren in zunehmender Anzahl, daB das unkontrolliert subjektive Vorgehen in der Therapie zu Fehlern in der systematischen Verwendung erprobter Lernprinzipien ftihrt und unter Umstanden bis zur, science fiction' fUhren kann. Die steigende Anzahl von Manualen in den Gebieten der Abhangigkeiten, Angste, sexuellen und sozialen Storungen, kindlichen Verhaltensproblemen und spezifischen Leistungsstorungen demon- strieren, daB prazis formulierte Texte ftir besondere Klienten und Problemsitua- tionen geschrieben werden, in denen eine groBe Anzahl unterschiedlicher Therapieprinzipien mit Vorteil Platz finden konnen. In dem vorliegenden Manual ist die Multi-Komponenten-Methode benutzt worden, indem eine Reihe unterschiedlicher Lern- und Konditionierungsverfahren aufgenommen wurden. Die Notwendigkeit hierfUr hat sich aus den in der Literatur berichteten, enttauschenden Therapieeffekten fUr Einzelmethoden ergeben.
