In der Textproduktionsforschung ist eine Trennung des Bereiches der gesprochenen Sprache von dem Bereich der geschriebenen Sprache meist die Regel. In beiden Bereichen erarbeitete Forschungsergebnisse werden nur selten aufeinander bezogen und fUr eine integrative Theoriebi1dung genutzt. Mit diesem Buch soH gezeigt werden, daB ein beide Bereiche verbindendes Vorgehen zu interessanten FragesteHun- gen und wichtigen Ergebnissen fUhren kann. Der empirische Untersuchungsgegenstand dieses Buches ist der schriftliche Text- produktionsprozeB. Gegenuber den zah1reichen empirischen Untersuchungen zum mundlichen TextproduktionsprozeB sind empirische Untersuchungen zum schriftlichen TextproduktionsprozeB verhaltnismiillig se1ten. Die Fahigkeit, Texte schreiben zu konnen, ist fUr uns im Alltag jedoch von zentraler Bedeutung. Diese Bedeutung muB sich die Schreibforschung innerhalb der Textproduktionsforschung erst erarbeiten. Mit diesem Buch hoffe ich, die Bedeutungssteigerung der Schreibforschung vorantreiben zu konnen. Das vorliegende Buch resu1tiert aus meiner Dissertation Texte planen und produzie- ren, mit der ich im Dezember 1991 an der Universitat Bielefeld promoviert habe. Die Idee fUr die hier vorgestellte experimentelle Methode, die freie kreative Textproduk- tion an einem Computer, wurde in zah1reichen Diskussionen mit Jochen Musse1er, Eva Terhorst und Martina Hie1scher entwicke1t. Hierfiir mochte ich ihnen herz1ich danken.
