Chaganti Nagaraja Rao, Ph.D., served as Deputy Field Officer in the Directorate General of Security, Government of India, and the Department of Municipal Administration in the Government of Andhra Pradesh in various capacities from Municipal Commissioner to Additional Director. Post retirement he had been serving as Senior Faculty in Dr. MCR Human Resource Development Institute, Hyderabad.
He has contributed a number of original articles to various leading English periodicals including Setu, published from Pittsburgh, USA. He has published about 50 articles in English on matters of general interest besides 35 short stories in English and 50 in Telugu. His published works include Dr. S. Radhakrishnan: His Life and Works, Spiritual Culture of India and Other Essays, Urban Governance in India, Accountability of Urban Local Governments in India, and Heart for Hire and Love for Sale (Collected Short Stories) which is translated into eight European languages.
