This book is an English translation and updated edition of Los Fundamentos del Espiritismo (Fundamentals of Spiritism) (Ediciones C.I.M.A., 2000) written by Jon Aizpúrua, a professor of psychology. It has had wide circulation in Spanish-speaking countries. Jon Aizpúrua was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He was trained in many disciplines and works as a clinical psychologist, economist, producer, and radio broadcaster. He has had a brilliant career as author and scholar. A University professor for over 30 years, Jon currently is the Professors' Counsel Representative at the University of Venezuela, Caracas. In addition, Jon was president of the Spiritist Cultural Movement (C.I.M.A.) in Venezuela and the Spiritist Pan-American Confederation (CEPA) during the years 1993 to 2000. He is the vice - president of the Circle for Writers of Venezuela (2012 to 2014).
