Before reinventing himself in technology, he led the creation of and established many global luxury and lifestyle brands in the Middle East and India. He engages with retailers for their digitalization. He has held CEO positions at The Waterbase Limited and Jashanmal (a retailer in UAE), a COO position at Dubai SME (Entrepreneur Development Organization of the Government of Dubai), and a CXO position at Apparel Group (a retailer in UAE). Manoj is a mechanical engineer (IIT Delhi) and has an MBA (IIM Bangalore) and a DBA (Case Western, USA).
