This commentary dwells on the theological and pastoral wisdom of the three epistles of John. Arguing for original authorship by John the beloved disciple and last living apostle, it demonstrates that the epistles were generally well received by the early church. Schuchard, Bruce: - Dr. Bruce Schuchard is the dean of advanced studies and professor of exegetical theology at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1997. His research interests include the Gospel of John, the Epistles of John and the Apocalypse of John.
