El cristianismo no naci� como una religi�n institucionalizada, sino como un acontecimiento. No comenz� en palacios ni en academias, sino en caminos polvorientos, en orillas de lago y en ciudades convulsas del Imperio romano. La fe que hoy conocemos como cristianismo emergi� de un hecho central: la vida, muerte y resurrecci�n de Jes�s, y la convicci�n de que ese acontecimiento no deb�a quedarse en Jerusal�n. Este libro propone un recorrido hist�rico y teol�gico por el tr�nsito que llev� el mensaje desde el entorno inmediato de Jes�s hasta el mundo mediterr�neo. Es un trayecto que tiene nombres propios: Pedro y Pablo. Dos hombres distintos en formaci�n, car�cter y trayectoria, pero unidos por una misma convicci�n: el Evangelio no pertenece a un solo pueblo, sino que est� destinado a las naciones. Pedro representa la continuidad con el testimonio original. Pescador de Galilea, testigo cercano de Jes�s, portavoz entre los Doce, su liderazgo fue decisivo en los primeros a�os de la comunidad en Jerusal�n. Su experiencia no fue lineal: conoci� la fragilidad, la negaci�n y la restauraci�n. Su figura encarna la tensi�n entre debilidad humana y misi�n divina. Pablo, por su parte, encarna la expansi�n. Formado en el farise�smo, ciudadano romano, conocedor del mundo helen�stico, su encuentro con Cristo transform� radicalmente su direcci�n. Si Pedro sostuvo el n�cleo apost�lico, Pablo abri� las puertas geogr�ficas y culturales. No fue una ruptura con el origen, sino una ampliaci�n del horizonte. Hist�ricamente, el siglo I fue un per�odo de intensos cambios. El Imperio romano proporcion� infraestructura, lengua com�n y relativa estabilidad pol�tica. Parad�jicamente, esos mismos factores facilitaron la difusi�n del mensaje cristiano. Las ciudades estrat�gicas -Antioqu�a, �feso, Corinto, Roma- se convirtieron en nodos de una red que conectaba culturas diversas. Pero este libro no es solo una reconstrucci�n hist�rica. Es tambi�n una reflexi�n sobre continuidad, misi�n y herencia. La transici�n "de Jes�s a las naciones" no fue autom�tica ni sencilla. Implic� debates internos, persecuciones externas, decisiones doctrinales y procesos de discernimiento.
