Reflections on the Sacred Liturgy offers reflections on the liturgical texts, themes and scriptures of the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite. This volume covers the Sundays and weekdays of the Season of Easter, culminating in the Solemnity of Pentecost. Each Sunday of Easter has a reflection for each year of the Church's three-year lectionary cycle. Father Hoisington's reflections for the entire liturgical year can be found at: reflectionsonthesacredliturgy.com "Reflections on the Sacred Liturgy is a very beautiful and useful website. Sacred worship and on-going liturgical formation should be at the center of everyone's spiritual life, priest and lay-faithful alike. Fr. Hoisington has provided us with the means to deepen our love and devotion to the sacred worship of the Church." The Most Rev. James Conley, Bishop of Lincoln

Hoisington, Thomas: - Father Thomas Hoisington was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Wichita in 1995. From 1999-2001 he studied in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University and resided at the Casa Santa Maria dell'Umiltà, the American house for priest graduate students in the Eternal City. He earned his Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.) from the Gregorian University in the field of dogmatic theology. Since returning to the United States, he has served as Catholic Chaplain at Newman University and Wichita State University, and has served in five assignments as pastor. In 2010 the Bishop of Wichita asked him to begin celebrating Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form for the diocesan Latin Mass community, which he did for several years. He serves the Bishop of Wichita as a Censor Librorum, and for more than thirteen years his column of liturgical and scriptural reflections has been published in The Catholic Advance, the official newspaper of the Diocese of Wichita.
