About The Author

Raza, S. A.: - "

The author of Little Lights: The Guiding Stars is a Pakistani-American millennial born in Karachi in the mid-1980s. He has spent the last two decades in the United States, raising a family of four and navigating the balance between his heritage and his life in the West.

His connection to these stories began in the Majalis of his childhood, sitting with his mother and grandmother and listening to the narratives that define the Shia faith. These were the lessons passed down by his grandparents - not through formal study, but through a lived tradition of storytelling. Now a father of two, he wrote this book out of a sense of responsibility to ensure these "Guiding Stars" remain a visible roadmap for the next generation before they are lost to time.

He is neither a cleric nor a scholar. He is a parent who holds himself accountable to Allah and believes that faith is best expressed through character and intention. He chose to document these twelve heroes and their ethical battles - from Imam Ali's self-control in the heat of battle to the quiet, intellectual strength of Imam Sadiq - to show young readers how to be strong enough to be gentle and smart enough to be humble.

By publishing under a pseudonym, he keeps the focus entirely on the Imams and the spiritual strength they offer to those seeking to live with purpose.
