A rosa � a flor de corte mais popular em todo o mundo. Na �ndia, � cultivada tanto em campos abertos como em estufas. Enquanto as rosas cultivadas ao ar livre destinam-se aos mercados internos, as rosas de estufa s�o produzidas tanto para o mercado interno como para o mercado internacional. Foi realizada uma experi�ncia intitulada Efeito da aplica��o foliar de micronutrientes no crescimento e na flora��o da rosa em condi��es de estufa no Jardim Bot�nico de Satpuda, Faculdade de Agricultura de Nagpur, entre julho e dezembro de 2008. A experi�ncia foi organizada num desenho de blocos aleat�rios com treze tratamentos replicados tr�s vezes. Os resultados da presente investiga��o indicaram que as caracter�sticas de crescimento vegetativo, o rendimento de flores e a qualidade das flores se revelaram superiores com 0,3% de ZnSO4 + 0,3% de MnSO4 + 0,3% de FeSO4. Conclui-se, portanto, que a pulveriza��o de micronutrientes a 0,3% de ZnSO₄ + 0,3% de MnSO₄ e 0,3% de FeSO₄, em intervalos de duas semanas, deve ser aplicada para obter um maior rendimento de flores de rosa de qualidade em condi��es de estufa.
