Preguntas como esas, y muchas m s, son naturales para cualquiera en un mundo repleto de tecnolog as que generalmente usamos sin saber c mo funcionan. Normalmente nos resignamos a suponer que alguien debe conocer las respuestas, aunque haya quien tenga sus dudas sobre si realmente los cient ficos sabemos lo que nos traemos entre manos.

Este texto es para todos aquellos que no ten an esperanza de que alguien les explicase (de forma comprensible) ese tipo de cuestiones.

Los temas son muy variados, en su mayor a centrados en la f sica que es la especialidad del autor (relatividad, efectos cu nticos, gravedad, el universo, tomos y mol culas, ...). Pero tambi n se tratan cuestiones tan cotidianas como el inter s compuesto y la escala musical; o tan "filos ficas" como la brecha de g nero, el fundamento molecular de la vida, o la naturaleza del tiempo.

Y, por supuesto, todo ello sin necesidad de saber sobre matem ticas ni c mo se hace una divisi n (aunque en alguna ocasi n s convenga saber para qu sirve dividir...)

El autor es Doctor en Ciencias F sicas y Profesor Titular de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Con m s de 30 a os de experiencia investigadora y docente, se considera a s mismo un apasionado por descubrir c mo funcionan las cosas, y por contagiar a los dem s su sorpresa y entusiasmo ante ese descubrimiento.
