His group at IICT also works in the areas of Donor-Acceptor systems for bio-mimicking natural photosynthesis, sensitizers for photodynamic therapy, and materials for non-linear optical studies.

Dr. Tufan Ghosh is currently an assistant professor at the VIT-AP University, Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh where his group focuses on exploring charge carrier dynamics in halide perovskites. He has an experience of more than ten years of experience in the field of ultrafast spectroscopy of nanomaterials.
