La lutte biologique est une strat�gie efficace, �conomique et s�re pour lutter contre les champignons parasites facultatifs pathog�nes des plantes vivant dans le sol. La capacit� antagoniste de Trichoderma viride a �t� d�termin�e par son �tat physiologique et biochimique, de sorte que tout changement dans les conditions physiologiques ou g�n�tiques pouvait modifier l'antagonisme. Cette capacit� a donc �t� �valu�e en fonction des interactions avec diff�rents produits chimiques, � savoir le m�thane sulfonate d'�thyle (EMS) et l'hydroxylamine (HA). Les mutants obtenus apr�s mutagen�se chimique, � savoir TVME 3c, TVME 4c et TVMH4a, se sont av�r�s poss�der les unit�s enzymatiques de chitinase/mg de prot�ine les plus �lev�es, � savoir 0,62, 0,63 et 0,61 respectivement. La capacit� d'une quantit� �lev�e de chitinase avec un taux de croissance et une sporulation plus �lev�s �tait directement li�e � la capacit� d'inhibition maximale des mutants contre les pathog�nes v�g�taux pr�sents dans le sol, tels que Rhizoctonia bataticola, Sclerotium rolfsii et Fusarium spp. La pr�sente �tude a donc prouv� que la mutagen�se est un outil efficace pour am�liorer la bioefficacit� de Trichoderma viride, un agent de lutte biologique.
