Com base nestes objetivos, o estudo foi segmentado para localizar as �reas de despejo de res�duos nos canais; identificar a varia��o da qualidade da �gua numa base mensal; identificar a varia��o temporal da qualidade da �gua; examinar se existe uma rela��o entre as altera��es no uso do solo e a varia��o da qualidade da �gua; e examinar se existe uma rela��o entre a precipita��o e as varia��es da qualidade da �gua, juntamente com a identifica��o da vulnerabilidade na sa�de humana. A recolha de dados foi novamente segmentada da seguinte forma. Primeiro, a investiga��o de observa��o para identificar os locais de despejo de res�duos e tamb�m para estudar as condi��es f�sicas do canal. Em seguida, foi realizado um levantamento da qualidade da �gua para medir os par�metros de qualidade da �gua, com especial enfoque no teste de E. coli. Em terceiro lugar, foi realizado um inqu�rito por question�rio junto das pessoas que vivem junto ao canal para identificar as suas condi��es de sa�de. Para estudar as altera��es no uso do solo, foi utilizada a interpreta��o de mapas de sat�lite.
