About The Author

Henrik Ibsen (1828–1906) was a Norwegian playwright and poet considered to be the "father of modern drama.” He was known for pioneering theatrical realism with works like A Doll's House, Hedda Gabler and Peer Gynt. He moved to Italy and Germany, where he wrote his most famous plays, and returned to Norway a celebrated figure.
