M.S. Shetty, a retired General Manager of a nationalized bank, began his professional journey at the Fort Mumbai branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce. Throughout his career, Mr. Shetty demonstrated dedication and expertise, eventually rising to the position of General Manager. Hailing from Udupi in the Karnataka state, Mr. Shetty completed his B.Sc. degree from MGM College Udupi, which is affiliated with Mysore University. His educational background equipped him with the necessary knowledge to excel in the banking industry. In 1974, he obtained the Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) certification, further solidifying his expertise in the field. Besides his professional accomplishments, Mr. Shetty has made valuable contributions to the banking sector through his writing. He has authored numerous books on Indian banking, commencing his literary career with the publication of his first book, Banking in India, in 2013.
