Indian Philosophy in Modern Times offers a holistic analysis of various philosophical thoughts that developed and flourished in the subcontinent, such as Monism, Dualism, Pluralism, Atheism and Theism. It investigates the impact of various historical factors on the philosophical outlook of India, including ancient events like the rise and fall of the Indus Valley civilization and the development of Vedic literature, as well as medieval developments like the rise of the Bhakti and Sufi traditions. This rich genealogy is further interrogated through personal experiences of modern philosophers and reformists like Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Swami Vivekananda and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. A comprehensive handbook, Indian Philosophy in Modern Times serves as an indispensable resource for readers and scholars seeking to explore the evolution of Vedantic literature in India, providing a concise yet thorough examination of the subject.
