About The Author

Brig. G.P. Chattopadhyay, Master of Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, served in the Indian Army for 34 years in various capacities, mostly dealing with reliability, maintainability and availability of weapons and equipment systems. He had been a faculty in premier engineering colleges of the Army and the College of Defense Management. Brig. Chattopadhyay was deputed by Govt. of India to teach in Defense Engineering College, Baghdad, Iraq. On superannuation from Army as Brigadier, he served as Director (Technical) of Mineral Exploration Corporation of India. He also served as Director of College of Engineering & Technology, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Presently, he is the Head, Strategic Development & Planning of Shail Group of Institutions (www.indoreinstitute.com) which runs multidisciplinary professional colleges. Brig. Chattopadhyay nurtures a keen interest in student counselling and career development.
