Dr Santwana Haldar has been teaching in the government colleges of Orissa since 1978. She was awarded the Ph.D. degree by the Burdwan University, West Bengal, in 1979. Eliot: A Thematic Study, Ten Nobel Laureates: The Writer and his World, Gabriel Garcia Marquez: Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: A Reader’s Companion, and Dario Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist. An erudite scholar and a perceptive critic, she has published a good number of articles on postcolonial and postmodern literature and theories in several international journals.
