About The Author

Syed Mohammed Haseebuddin Quadri is a Reader in English, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. He did PGDTE and M.Phil. in English from CIEFL, Hyderabad and Ph.D. from Osmania University Hyderabad. The topic of his research was “Intonation and Rhythm in Public Speaking in English in India: A Computer-Assisted Case Study.” He has conducted several workshops on Research Methodology and Communication Skills and delivered lectures there. He has presented papers in many seminars and conferences. He has authored a book entitled Informative and Persuasive Public Speaking: The Essential Elements. He has also guided many research scholars. Dr. Quadri is a member, Board of Studies, Department of English, Maulana Azad National Urdu University and School Board, School of Languages, Linguistics and Indology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad. He specializes in English phonetics, linguistics, sociolinguistics and research methodology.
