Sustainable Nanocellulose and Nanohydrogels from Natural Sources explores the use of biopolymers in specific application areas such as electronics, energy, consumer goods, packaging materials, therapeutics, water treatment and engineering, and what makes the particular polymer to engage it in these applications. This is an important reference source for those who would like to learn more about how biopolymeric nanocomposites are used in sustainability and environmental protection.

Biopolymers, including plant and sea-based polymers, play an important role in the formation and maintaining the stability of industrial nanocomposites; their common functions being the surface modification and protection for the highly oxidative-unstable cores, as stable base for holding multiple targets, and as a shield for the inorganic and highly toxic metals. These biopolymer-based nanocomposites are being used for applications in the electronics, automobile, construction and biomedical sectors.

Al-Lohedan, Hamad A.: - Hamad A. Al-Lohedan is Professor, Department of Chemistry, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on sustainable biopolymeric materials.

Jawaid, Mohammad: -

Dr. Mohammad Jawaid is currently affiliated with the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at United Arab Emirates University. Previously he was a senior fellow (professor) in the Laboratory of Biocomposites Technology at the Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is an eminent scientist with more than twenty years of teaching, and research experience in composite materials. His research interests include hybrid reinforced/filled polymer composites, and advanced materials such as graphene/

nanoclay/fire retardant, lignocellulosic reinforced/filled polymer composites, and the modification and treatment of lignocellulosic fibres and solid wood, and nanocomposites and nanocellulose fibres.

Mohammad, Faruq: - Dr. Faruq Mohammad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. His post-doctoral research focused on the development of nanoparticle-based formulations for cancer diagnosis and treatment, nano drug delivery, and the understanding of the toxicity of nanomaterials.
