A lot has been written about their disappearance based on hearsay and rumours, but the truth has continued to elude us. Is the truth being concealed behind a veil of chimerical narratives, readily accepted by those seeking easy answers?

This meticulously researched volume looks at Jesus and Chaitanya’s final moments to seek answers to difficult questions that have long haunted us.

About the Author: Dipankar Mukhopadhyay spent his formative years in Kolkata and much of his professional life in Delhi working in key positions in different departments of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. He has worked as the South-East Asia correspondent for Akashvani (All India Radio). He was also the managing director of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) for a considerable period of time.

His areas of interest range from films to music and literature. He has written a number of books in Bengali and English including Praner Opare, Mrinal Sen: Sixty Years in Search of Cinema, Naam Gum Jaye, Ek Akkhyato Amlar Atmadarshan.

About the Translator: With a Master’s in English literature, Sucharita Ghosh has been associated with the publishing world for more than fifteen years. When not editing books, she likes to read and watch murder mysteries and play with her son.
