"Looking-glass, Looking-glass, on the wall, Who in this land is the fairest of all?”

Inspired by German folklore and first published in 1812 as Kinder- und Hausmärchen, Grimm's Fairy Tales are the most beloved and influential fairy tales in literary history. From Rapunzel's magical golden locks and mysterious riddles of Rumpelstiltskin to the poisonous apple of Snow White and the daring escapades of Hansel and Gretel, The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales consists of a collection of over 200 short stories that have mesmerised readers for centuries. The original stories are darker, unlike the famous editions many readers grew up with, and often don't have happy endings—but they're far more interesting. The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales includes the original versions of all our childhood favourites, with their eerie charm and grim allure intact.
