During the tenure of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country has set many new records of growth. Today, the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘self-reliant India’ (Aatmanirbhar Bharat) is being realized in many sectors. The fertiliser sector is also one of them. During the tenure of Modi ji, the fertiliser sector has succeeded in writing a golden story of growth.

Bharat became the first country in the world to successfully start commercial production of revolutionary nano urea and nano DAP. In the last few years, many countries of the world faced fertiliser crisis. But under the leadership of our prime minister, Bharat did not let these crises affect the farmers of our country. Modi ji ensured that the rising prices of fertilisers in the global markets did not affect the farmers of the country. For this, the government increased subsidy on multiple occasions. A strong and decisive plan was implemented to curb black marketing, diversion and hoarding of fertilisers.

Along with many such successes, the story of how the country is moving forward on the path of becoming ‘self-reliant’ in fertilisers has been presented in an interesting manner through this book.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya is the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers. He has also held the independent charge of the Union Shipping Ministry. He was Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping. He was elected to Rajya Sabha from Gujarat in 2012 and 2018. He also worked as the General Secretary of the Gujarat unit of the BJP.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya was born on June 1, 1972. He belongs to Palitana in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. He studied Political Science from Bhavnagar University and became active in politics during his student life. His political career started from the ABVP and reached the BJP through the BJYM. In 2002, he became an MLA from Palitana. In 2011, he became the chairman of Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Limited. Dr. Mandaviya did his PhD in Political Science. He has undertaken three yatras in Gujarat to create awareness about girls’ education and to spread the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi.
