Aus AnlaB des 75. Geburtstages von Prof. Dr. Karl Heinrich Bauer fand im September 1965 das erste Symposion des Deutschen Krebs- forschungszentrums in Heidelberg statt. Damals wurde beschlossen, in zweijahrigem Abstand weitere Symposien zu veranstalten. Der vorlie- gende Band - der zweite in der als: Fortsetzungsfolge geplanten Reihe "Aktuelle Probleme aus dem Gebiet der Cancerologie" - bringt die Vor- trage, die auBer von eingeladenen Rednern im wesentlichen von Wissen- schaftlern des Deutschen Krebsforschungszentrums bei dem zweiten Symposion im September 1967 gehalten wurden. Der Band gibt so zugleich einen Einblick in die Tatigkeit der Institute des Deutschen Kre bsforschungszentrums von 1965 bis 1967. Die Veranstaltung des Symposions und die Drucklegung der Vor- trage wurden durch den "Verein zur Forderung der Krebsforschung in Deutschland e.
