About The Book

Der hier vorgelegte dritte Band der Publikationsreihe "Aktuelle Probleme aus dem Gebiet der Cancerologie" faBt die Vortrage zusammen, die auf dem aus AnlaB des 80. Geburtstags von Prof. Dr. K. H. BAUER vom Deutschen Krebsforschungszentrum veranstalteten 3. Heidelberger Krebssymposion vom 23.-25. September 1970 gehalten wurden. BewuBt wurde dabei davon Abstand genommen, andererorts bereits erschienene oder in Druck gegebene Vortrage nochmals in extenso wiederzugeben; von diesen Beitragen wird hier nur jeweils eine kurze Zusammenfassung gebracht. Neben einigen eingeladenen Gastrednern, die dem Symposion gewisse programmatische Akzente setzten, kommen in den Tagungsbeitragen vorwiegend die Wissenschaftler des Deutschen Krebsforschungszen- trums zu Wort. Somit gibt der Tagungsbericht zugleich einen Einblick in die derzeitigen Arbeitsgebiete und Projekte der 7 Institute des Heidel- berger Zentrums. Wir danken dem Verein zur Forderung der Krebsforschung in Deutsch- land e.
