About The Author

Dr. Birgit Hartmann (*1962)
Birgit Hartmann wurde in Essen geboren.
Sie studierte Medizin an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Anschließend promovierte sie im Fach Frauenheilkunde bei Herrn Professor K.-W. Schweppe an der Westfälischen Wilhelms Universität Münster. Ihre Facharztausbildung zur Augenärztin verbrachte sie bei Herrn Professor Dr. Edmund Gerke an der Augenklinik in Wuppertal-Barmen.
Mehr als 20 Jahre war sie niedergelassene Augenärztin in Dinslaken. Seit April 2025 ist sie angestellte Augenärztin bei der Artemis Lichtblick GmbH, MVZ Tausendfensterhaus am Standort Dinslaken. Sie schreibt regelmäßig für die Sprechstunden-Kolumne der "Rheinischen Post" in Düsseldorf. Die Bücher "Augensprechstunde" und "Rote Augen, grauer Star und kranke Makula" sind in Zusammenarbeit mit Wolfram Goertz entstanden. Für das Buch "Augensprechstunde" bekamen Hartmann und Goertz den Medienpreis vom Berufsverband für Augenärzte.

Dr. Wolfram Goertz (*1961)
Wolfram Goertz wurde in Mönchengladbach geboren.
Er studierte Musikwissenschaft, Kirchenmusik und Philosophie in Köln, Aachen und Bochum. Promotionsstudium im Fach Kardiologie zum Dr. rer. medic. an der Medizinischen Fakultät der RWTH Aachen. Seit 1989 ist er Redakteur für Musik und Medizin der "Rheinischen Post" in Düsseldorf und schreibt zudem regelmäßig für die Wochenzeitschrift "Die Zeit". Für seine Serie über Herzinfarkt-Versorgung in NRW bekam er den Journalistenpreis der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie.
Zusätzlich ist er Koordinator der Interdisziplinären Ambulanz für Musikermedizin am Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf, die kranke Musiker behandelt.
