Praktische Arzte und gar nicht so selten auch solche, die als Gutachter tatig sind, bestatigen ihren Patienten, wie es mir scheinen will, allzu leichtfertig die traumatische Genese einer Hemie. Die Folgen einer ungerechtfertigten derartigen Bescheinigung sind bisweilen gar nicht abzusehen. Rentenanspruche werden erhoben und beschaftigen nun einerseits Gutachter und Gerichte bis in die hochsten Instanzen, anderer- seits Zweckverbande Geschadigter selbst durch Jahre hindurch. Nach ErschOpfung aller Rechtsmittel und nach endgiiltiger Ablehnung der Anerkennung als Unfallfolge oder Wehrdienstbeschadigung resultiert ein verbitterter Mensch, der das Gefiihl nicht los wird, Unrecht erIitten zu haben, und der sich nur schwer oder auch uberhaupt nicht mehr in die soziale Ordnung einfugt. Meist fuhren derartige anfangIiche Fehl- beurteilungen aber auch dazu, daB eine indizierte Radikaloperation einer Hemie, die den Patienten leicht und rasch wieder vollig gesund machen wiirde, unterbleibt, da der Kranke sich ja nicht seiner vermeintIich be- rechtigten Rentenanspruche begeben will, auch dann nicht, wenn die Anerkennung der Hernie als Unfallfolge endgultig abgelehnt worden ist. Die Hemie ist nun zu einem Angelpunkt geworden, um den sich alles dreht, und muB jetzt als Zeugnis erlittenen Unrechts konserviert werden. Fehlende Erfahrung des behandelnden bzw. erstbegutachtenden Arztes und die Unkenntnis der vorhandenen Literatur sind wohl die Ursachen solcher bedauerlichen Fehlbeurteilungen, denn die zahlreichen Autoren, die sich mit dem Problem der traumatischen Hemie befaBten, sind sich, so verschieden ihre Auffassungen auch sonst sein mogen, einig, daB sehr strenge MaBstabe bei der Anerkennung eines Bruches als Unfallfolge angelegt werden mussen.
