Das vorliegende Buch hat sich aus der in ihm enthaltenen engeren Aufgabe entwickelt, den gegengekoppelten Verstarker zu behandeln. Diese Aufgabe ist etwas zwiespaltig: Zunachst soUte eine Darstellung der Moglichkeiten und Grenzen in der Anwendung der Gegenkopplung entstehen, welche als brauchbarer Leit- faden fiir die Praxis dienen konnte; gleichzeitig vertragt der gegengekoppelte Verstarker nicht die naherungsweise Behandlung, wie sie sonst in der Nachrichten- technik iiblich ist. Die Stabilitatsbedingungen erzwingen streng richtige Betrach- tungen. Wer einen gegengekoppelten Verstarker bauen will, steht vor einer mehr- fachen Schwierigkeit: Er fangt mit einem hicht gegengekoppelten Verstarker an, wobei er hofft, die zu groBen urspriinglichen Fehler durch eine entsprechende Gegenkopplung herahsetzen zu konnen. Das gelingt aber nur dann, wenn der Verstarker nach Schlie Ben der Gegenkopplung stabil bleibt. Zwar kann man stabilisierende Glieder in den Gegenkopplungskreis einbauen; sie verschlechtern aber wieder die Wirksamkeit der Gegenkopplung. namentlich in der Nahe der Grenzfreq uenzen. Dem Urheber eines Gegenkopplungskreises fehlt eine Beschreibung derjenigen Moglichkeiten, die er im Rahmen der Stabilitat erwarten kann. und eine An- gabe iiber den dahin fiihrenden Weg. Zwar gibt es Stabilitatskriterien. Aber es ist leichter und einfacher, am Verstarker selbst zu priifen, ob er stabil ist oder mit welcher Frequenz er schwingt, als deshalb erst einmal den Gegenkopplungskreis aufzuschneiden, urn auf Umwegen zum gleichen Ergebnis zu gelangen.
