Bernd Schieferdecker studierte Energiewirtschaft an der TU Dresden und war von 1993 bis 2005 Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Energiewirtschaft der BTU Cottbus. Seine Forschungsgebiete umfassten unter anderem die Analyse, Modellierung und Optimierung industrieller, territorialer und kommunaler energetischer Systeme nach technischen und wirtschaftlichen Kriterien.

Alexis Bonneschky studierte Elektrotechnik an der BTU Cottbus. Er ist seit 2003 Mitarbeiter der Wirtschaftsabteilung der Lahmeyer International GmbH und tätig in internationalen Energieplanungsprojekten.

Christian Fünfgeld studierte Maschinenbau an der TU Hannover und war von 1994 - 2004 Mitarbeiter an der BTU Cottbus, zuletzt als Juniorprofessor für Elektrizitätswirtschaft. Seit 2004 ist er Vorstandsmitglied des Centrums für Energietechnologie Brandenburg e. V.
