Basierend darauf werden grundlegende Ger�tekonzepte vorgestellt und die wesentlichen Komponenten eines haptischen Ger�tes eingef�hrt und in Beziehung zueinander gesetzt. Daraus ergeben sich empfohlene Entscheidungswege f�r die Entwicklung, die ausf�hrlich beschrieben werden. Anschlie end werden sehr konkrete technische Betrachtungen aller relevanten Komponenten und Strukturen durchgef�hrt. Begonnen wird dies �ber die �bergeordneten Themen der Regelungstechnik sowie den Kinematikentwurf. Anschlie end werden Aktortechnologien von elektrodynamischen Systemen bis hin zu Ultraschall- und Polymeraktoren in Entwurf und Auslegung sowie f�r deren Einsatz in haptischen Systemen diskutiert. Im Bereich Sensortechnik bildet die f�r r�ckgekoppelte Systeme besonders relevante Kraftsensorik einen Schwerpunkt. Die Schnittstellen zur Anbindung der Ger�te zu umgebenden Systemen sowie die Positionsmesstechnik runden den Hardware-Ger�teentwurf ab. Ein Kapitel zu den Grundz�gen des Softwareentwurfs f�r die haptische Interaktion bei der Simulation virtueller Welten gibt einen Einblick in die informationstechnischen Fragestellungen haptischer Entwicklungen.
