Der gesetzmJifJige Ablaut, sowohl der Ent- wicklung des Gesamtorganismus als auch der des Skelets ist in der Erbmasse verankert und wird postfetal vom endokrinen System gesteuert. Die Verteilung der aus beiden entwicklungsbestimmenden Faktoren resultierenden Entwicklungs- potenzen ist bei normalem Ablauf qualitativ und quantitativ so aufeinander abgestimmt, daB dem jeweiligen Entwicklungsstand des Organismus ein eng umschriebener Ossitikationsstand entspricht. Abartungen der Erbmasse und solche im Bereich des endokrinen Systems fiihren in der Mehrzahl zu einer Storung der Entwicklung des betreffenden Individuums; die damit korrelierten Anomalien der Skeletossitikation werden damit - durch die Rontgenologie leicht objektivier- bar geworden - zu Indikatoren tur den G88amtorganismus.
