Die Autoren des Gegenstandskatalogs vom Dezember 1973 haben sicn bemUht, durch die Fortnulierung ge eigneter Lernziele dieses Fach auf den Stoff zu reduzieren, den Studierende der Medizin unbedingt kennen soUten. Uber die Liste der Lernziele kann man sicher verschiedener Meinung sein. So wird es wohl kaum einen Biomathematiker geben, der nicht be sonders wichtige Bereiche seines Faches vermil3t, und andere, weniger wichtige Bereiche dafUr gerne gestrichen sehen mochte. In der Mathematik ist die Gefahr besonders grol3, mit Multiple Choice-Fragen nur reines Faktenwissen, statt des Verstandnis ses der Probleme und der Methoden zu erlernen bzw. zu priifen. So ist zum Verstandnis der meisten Lernziele die Kenntnis vie ler nicht als Lernziele besonders formulierter Voraussetzungen notwendig, wenn dem Studierenden der Sinn eines Lernziels wirk lich klarwerden solI. Wohl alle Lehrer in Biomathematik haben wahrend der erstmals durchgeflihrten Ubungen festgestellt, wie schwierig es ist, immer neue, geeignete Multiple-Choice-Fragen zu finden. Wir sind da her den Kollegen, die ihre Multiple-Choice-Fragen fUr diese Sammlung zur VerfUgung gestellt haben, sehr zu Dank verpflich tet. Die Fragen sind einschliel3lich der in Aachen Ubersetzten Fragen aus Amsterdam in MUnster redaktionell iiberarbeitet und erganzt worden.
