Nur das was der Gewerbehygieniker, der Gewerbearzt oder Werksarzt unter Umstanden zu beobachten Gelegenheit hat, das fiir deren praktische Arbeit Wichtige soll im folgenden dargestellt werden, und zwar in einer Weise, die diesen prak- tischen Bediirfnissen entspricht. Bei der Darstellung der Klinik der gewerblichen Vergiftungen muB natiirlich auch auf ihre Entstehung eingegangen und so vielfach Gewerbehygienisches erortert werden. Das ist bei dem Wert, der der gewerblichen Anamnese fiir die Diagnosenstellung zukommt, um so notwendiger, als der behandelnde Arzt vor wissentlicher oder unwissentlicher Irrefiihrung von seiten der Beteiligten wenig- stens bis zu einem gewissen Grade geschiitzt werden muB, aber auch Gefahren, erkennen und wert en muB, die dem Arbeiter selbst und auch dem Arbeitgeber nicht klar zum BewuBtsein gekommen sind oder die von ihnen unterschatzt oder iiberschatzt werden. Der behandelnde Arzt solI auch in der Lage sein, Arbeit- nehmer und Arbeitgeber auf die Mittel zur Verhiitung gewerblicher Vergiftungen und auf bestehende gesetzliche V orschriften hinzuweisen. N och mehr gilt dies natiirlich, wenn der behandelnde Arzt zugleich "Werksarzt" ist.
