Kalziumionen haben zudem eine direkte Wirkung auf die Sekretion von Katecholaminen, Insulin und Vasopressin. Sie beeinflussen ebenfalls direkt die Gefä permeabilität, die Effekte verschiedener Medikamente auf die Kontraktilität des Herzens und die Regulation des peripheren GeHi tonus.
