Wenn wir sie ignorieren, so berufen wir uns dabei auf CURKMAXWELL, welcher die seitN EWTON wohlbekannteDispersion des Brechungs- indexnicht in seine elektromagnetische Lichttheorie einbau te, auf HEINRIOH HERTZ, der in seiner Elektrodynamik der bewegten Korper denFREsNELschen Mitfuhrungs- koeffizienten nicht berucksichtigte, und auf jene Vater der Thermodynamik und Gastheorie, welche von der einfachen Zustandsgleichung p V = RT ausgingen, obwohl sie wuBten, daB diese eigentlich fur kein Gas gilt. Die Theorie sucht sich eben der Wirklichkeit mittels sukzessiver Approximation zu nahern. Zudem haben wir bei mancher unerklarlichen Tatsache den Verdacht einer gewissen Unvollkommenheit des Versuchsmaterials. Der ideale feste Korper ist ein Ein- kristall; die meisten Supraleitungsversuche aber sindmitpolykristallinemMaterial angestellt. Und selbst der beste Einkristall, den je ein Mensch in der Hand hatte, ist, wenn er ein paar Zentimeter groB ist, ein "Mosaik-Kristall", ein Gefuge aus vielen kleinen Kristalliten, an deren Grenzen das Raumgitter sich nicht stetig fortsetzt.
