So zu heginnen, ist sowohl al1S didaktischen wie historischen Grunden angezeig( An die Betrachtung des chemischen Tat- sachenmaterials schlieRt sich jene des physiologischen ChemikerlS und schlieR- lich Erorterungen arztlicher FragesteIlungen, wie Vitaminmangelkrankheiten und deren Therapie mit Vitamin en, wobei diese Vitaminmangelkrankheiten einerseits als Folge von Ernahrungsschaden und anderseitlS als Ergebnis der Wechselwirkung von Antivitaminen mit den vitaminhaltigen Fermenten anzusehen sind. Ich hoffe, daR der vorliegende Bericht in dieser Form auch fur einen heterogenen Leserkreis interessant sein durfte, namlich zu er- fahren, welche Konsequenzen sich fur den Organismus bei der Verabrei- chung von abgewandeHen Vitaminmolekulen ergehen und anderseits die Grenzen kennenzulernen, innerhalh welchen Abanderungen der Molekiil- architektur vorgenommen werden durfen, ohne die physiologisch-chemi- schen Aufgahen dieser Systeme zu heeinirachtigen.
