Nach einer priizisen Beschreibung der Infrastruktur des Stadtteils und einer faIlorientierten Darstellung der materiellen und psycho- sozialen Familiensituation der Jugendlichen wird die jugendliche Clique in ib- ren Alltagshandlungen, internen Beziehungen, riiumlichen und symbolischen Aneignungsprozessen, in ihrem Sill und ihren Formen, mit gesellschaftlichen Regeln und Normen urnzugehen, sowie in ihrem Verhalten in institutionali- sierten Handlungsriiumen vorgestellt. FUr die Jugendlichen der Clique ist die KreiselstraBe die zentrale riiumli- che Lebenswelt, mehr als nur nur die Gegen-bzw. Ersatzwelt zur oft desola- ten Familiensituation. Gesellschaftstheoretisch gesehen ist sie auch der Ort, der ihnen angesichts der Enttraditionalisierung und Pluralisierung lebens- weltlicher Milieus Geborgenheit und Orientierung fur ihr Bediirfnis nach Durch-und Uberschaubarkeit bietet. Die Konzentration auf diesen Ort be- grenzt jedoch gleichzeitig ihre Vorstellungen von Zeit, Kultur, Raurn und Ge- sellschaft. Vorgeschaltet sind dieser etbnographischen Studie ausfiihrliche "Theoreti- sche Vergewisserungen", die die Bezugspunkte und den Hintergrund fUr die analytischen Einschiitzungen des empirischen Materials abgeben.
