Ich wusste nichts darüber. Ich hatte nichts damit zu tun. Ich kannte niemanden, der diese Krankheit hatte. [...] Dann ging alles sehr schnell. Meine Freundin kam von einem auf den anderen Tag ins Krankenhaus, wo sie für das nächste halbe Jahr auch blieb. Endlich konnte sie sich mir und anderen wieder öffnen. Doch es gab oft Momente, in denen mir alles sehr hoffnungslos erschien. Manchmal dachte ich, sie würde sterben. Zu dieser Zeit fing auch mein 13-jähriger Bruder an zu hungern. Obwohl ich ihm ständig erzählte, wie schlecht es meiner Freundin im Krankenhaus ginge, schien ihn das nicht abzuschrecken. Im Gegenteil sah er wohl nur, wie viel Aufmerksamkeit ihr entgegengebracht wurde. Und mir scheint heute, dass er diese Aufmerksamkeit auch wollte. Bald musste auch er ins Krankenhaus, eine Spezialklinik für Essstörungen. Oft überlegte ich, wer es wohl schneller oder eher schaffen würde, die Krankheit zu überwinden, und ob es überhaupt noch eine Heilungschance gab. Nach einem halben Jahr lie sich meine Freundin entgegen dem Rat des Arztes (sie war ja volljährig) aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen. Und trotz meiner Vorbehalte schaffte sie es tatsächlich mit Therapie und der Hilfe ihrer Familie aus dem Teufelskreis auszusteigen. Heute ist sie eine glückliche, gesunde junge Frau und hat eine ziemlich normale Einstellung zum Essen. Auch meine Bruder machte einen gro en Kampf durch. Er erreichte letztendlich das Mindestgewicht und kann es auch halten. Seine Probleme hat er aber, trotz Therapie bis heute, noch nicht bewältigt. Jetzt befindet er sich mit 14 Jahren mitten in der Pubertät und hat dadurch noch mehr Probleme mit sich selbst. Aus diesen Erfah
