Der Medienp�dagogische Atlas Nordrhein-Westlalen ist das erste Nachschlagewerk seiner Art f�r dieses Land und ist der Versuch, alle Einrichtungen, Initiativen, Gruppen und Vereine, die relevante medienp�dagogische Aktivit�ten und Angebote (vor allem im Hinblick auf AV-und Neue Medien) organisieren und realisieren, im �berblick zusammenzufassen. Der Atlas verfolgt das Ziel, medienp�dagogische "Anlaufstellen" zu markieren und deren Aktivit�ten und Angebotssegemente in Kapazit�t und Besonderheit strukturiert zug�nglich zu machen. Er soll die Einrichtungen neben der M�glichkeit zur Selbstdarstellung auch darin unterst�tzen, andere Anbieter und Vermittler von Medienbildung und Medienkompetenz wahrzunehmen und zusammenzuf�hren. Damit tr�gt dieser Atlas m�glicherweise zu einer sinnvollen Vernetzung und effektiveren Aussch�pfung von Ressourcen bei. Doch auch der an Medienp�dagogik und Medienarbeit Interessierte, der auf der Suche nach Beratung, Information, Medienpraxis und Fortbildung ist, wird von diesem Atlas profitieren k�nnen. Grundlage f�r die Eintragungen bildete eine umfangreiche Fragebogenerhebung. Obwohl die Resonanz auf das Vorhaben gro war, gab es hierbei sogenannte Streuverluste. Viele der befragten Einrichtungen haben sich an der Erhebung nicht beteiligt. Andere Einrichtungen, Gruppen etc. sind ebenfalls nicht in den Atlas aufgenommen worden, weil sie nach sorgf�ltiger Auswertung der Fragebogen die von uns gesetzten Kriterien nicht erf�llen konnten. Die Kriterien woren: Relevanz und Kontinuit�t der medienp�dagogischen Arbeit, Schwerpunkt der Arbeit auf AV- und Neue Medien, exemplarische Medienprojekte, Verleih von Ger�ten und Medien, Veranstaltungsangebote und nichtkommerzielle Anbieter. Die Aufnahme von Einzelpersonen, die immedienp�dagogischen Bereich t�tig sind, erfolgte nur, wenn deren Arbeitsweise �ber eine reine Referentent�tig- keit hinausgingen.
