Frauen liebe ihre Kinder, es liegt in ihrer Natur. Auf diese Weise wurde lange argumentiert. Daraus ergab sich, dass sich Frauen aufgrund ihrer N�he zur Natur und ihrer F�higkeit zu geb�ren, von M�nnern unterscheiden. Sie sind im Gegensatz zum Mann liebliche, sanfte und nach Freud masochistische und passive Wesen (vgl. Badinter 1991, S.267ff). Auf diese Weise wurde nicht nur die sexistische Unterdr�ckung der Frau legitimiert, sondern ihr auch der Zugang zu �ffentlichen Bereichen und in Folge ein beruflicher Aufstieg untersagt. Das weibliche Geschlecht wurde dem Reproduktionsbereich zugeordnet und wurde nach Simone de Beauvoir (1949) als "das andere Geschlecht" angesehen, w�hrend der Mann das "Absolute" repr�sentierte (vgl. Beauvoir 1949/1987, S.11). Die Frau stand folglich stets unter dem Mann und zeichnete sich nach und nach durch eine Unterwerfungsbereitschaft aus (vgl. ebd. S.11f). W�hrend der industriellen Entwicklung, als die Frau allm�hlich an der Produktion teilhaben wollte, wurde sie zur�ck "an den Herd" gedr�ngt und sollte sich der Kindererziehung widmen (vgl. ebd. S.12). Mutterliebe wurde als ein "Instinkt der Natur" oder ein Sozialverhalten dargestellt (vgl. Badinter 1991, o.S.), an dem sich die Frau zu orientieren und dem sie sich zu f�gen hatte. Rousseau und Freud interpretierten die Hingabe und Opferbereitschaft der Frau sogar "als Wesensmerkmale" (ebd.). Erst in den 1960er Jahren breitete sich eine feministische Bewegung von den USA aus, die sich mit der Konstruiertheit scheinbarer Wesensmerkmale auseinandersetzte. Die Frauenrechtsbewegung sprach sich f�r neue weibliche Verhaltensweisen, einen strukturellen gesellschaftlichen Wandel und die Gleichberechtigung der beiden Geschlechter aus.
