"At the court of King George the Third the madness lingers on... Just like on TV today..."Red was King George the Third's most favorite and powerful color: red for anger, red for love and red for madness. Is the madness floating over the court of King George the Third the same insanity guiding a country with the highest amount of TV channels in the world? Is broadcasting and communication in the 21st century enthralled with the same madness raging at the court of King George the Third? Some of the leading broadcasters in TV, web and communication strategists are arguing and commenting about broadcasting in the 21st century. The film opens at the court of King George the Third. Broadcasting is just like a painting being fed to a court or a nation;it tells a story and this story is "RED by James Hogan" a documentary about 21st century broadcasting within a 21st century background in its setting and design where the past meets the present and the future. Interviews with the following participants: Dawn Airey, Lord Grade, Peter Ibbotson, Roger Bolton, Richard Horwood Greg Dyke, Chris Carter, Rob Woodward, Jean Seaton, Sir Peter Bazalgette, Sir Trevor McDonald, Adam Boulton, David Montgomery and Virtual Alien.

James Hogan had an outstanding career in broadcast TV producing some of Britain's best loved shows. He was editor of BBC TV's Question Time, producer for BBC Panorama and worked for Zenith Productions which made Inspector Morse, Spitting Image, and for SelecTV which made Birds of a Feather and Lovejoy. He moved on to become one of the most important City P.R. consultant in London. James Hogan is also a painter. He painted most days from a very early age but stopped abruptly when he became traumatized by the death of his father, then his mother. In 2007 he returned to oil painting with an energy he has likened to the sexual drive of youth. He was educated at Oxford University, England where he wrote a thesis on counter-culture in society and art. His work as a painter has received tremendous critical acclaim and a public exhibition opened in Cork Street, Mayfair in 2010 attracted hundreds of people at the opening. He is the author of various books including the "Art Upstart", an autobiographical journey illustrated by over forty paintings.
