Praxisbezug steht im Mittelpunkt aller vom Berufsverband Deutscher Sozio- logen (BDS) organisierten Tagungen, die daher auch in erster Linie - ebenso wie der Berufsverband - au eruniversitär tätige Soziologinnen und Soziolo- gen ansprechen (Soziolog(inn)en, die im Universitätsbereich arbeiten, sind aber ebenso herzlich eingeladen und auch immer wieder zahlreich vertreten). Auch die IX. Tagung für Angewandte Soziologie, "Soziologische Bera- tung", im März 1996 zeichnete sich durch ihren gro en Anwendungsbezug aus. Dabei ist soziologische Beratung ein Thema, das den BDS in besonde- rer Weise betrifft: Einerseits arbeitet schon ein gro er Teil der Mitglieder des Verbandes in irgendeiner Form in der Beratung, andererseits bietet sich Beratung - als ständig wachsendes Berufsfeld - auch als echte Alternative für junge Soziologen an, die auf der Suche nach einem praktischen Beruf sind, in dem sie eine Nachfrage nach ihrem soziologischen Spezialwissen vorfinden. Der BDS, der es sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, in der Praxis tätige Soziolo- ginnen und Soziologen zu organisieren und zu fördern, findet in der soziolo- gischen Beratung eine gro e Chance und Aufgabe, dieses Tätigkeitsfeld für Soziologen populär zu machen, Netzwerke aufzubauen und Richtlinien für die Ausbildung festzulegen. Die Tagung war ein erster Schritt in diese Rich- tung. Dabei wurden nicht nur neue Kontakte unter Berufspraktikern bzw. zwischen Praktikern und, Laien' geknüpft, sondern es wurden auch Projekte geplant, die über die Tagung hinausreichten. Wir waren überrascht und er- freut, da das Thema tatsächlich unter den Soziologen (sowohl Mitgliedern als auch Nichtmitgliedern) ein so gro es Interesse hervorrief.
