At last the crisis is over. It's a story about Vijay Anand, a kind-hearted and generous man in Chennai, who is unable to transfer 50,000 rupees to his friend Harish in Namakkal, who urgently needs the money for his father's chest pain treatment in a hospital there. Harish, while admitting his father suffered chest pain, went to a Multi-speciality Hospital in Namakkal. Doctor Joseph advised him to submit a receipt for rupees 50,000 immediately to commence treatment, as per the Hospital Rules. Since Harish does not have so much money, he sent a message requesting his friend Vijay Anand to lend him rupees 50,000. Vijay Anand has contacted him immediately on his mobile, on seeing the message, and has given assurance accordingly. The next day, whenever he tries to withdraw cash from the ATM, he encounters problems. The problems he has faced are: First, the SBI MMDA Nagar ATM room shutter is down. Similarly, the IOB ATM room shutter is down. In the City Bank ATM, insufficient cash. In the SBI Arumbakkam ATM, the process has reached the final stage of dispensing money, but the cash tray has failed to eject. Dejected Vijay enters the Branch and requests the staff to help him. The staff guided him to take a token, and he took token number 140; then he waited there. When the token calling Audio system calls the token number 140 and advises the holder to go to counter number two, he rushes to the counter, and the counter staff receives his debit card and swipes it through the portable swiping machine. Vijay enters his PIN. Now, he has seen the word 'processing' has appeared in the swipe machine with dots for a long time. Vijay mumbles, "Oh, God! Again, the problem!" The counter staff has cancelled and reinserted the debit card. Vijay enters the PIN. Again, the same 'processing' message has appeared and persisted. He has watched with anxiety and anger, thinking as to what will happen now. Suddenly, the counter staff asks Vijay to proceed to counter number four, and Vijay reaches there. The staff there asks Vijay what he wants. Vijay says he wants a forty-thousand-rupee cash withdrawal by using his debit card. She has processed in the swiping machine, and he enters the PIN. She asks him how much two thousand and five hundred rupees are. He says to give him all two thousand rupees. She takes a wad of notes from her drawer and gives him twenty 2000-rupee notes. He thanked and came out of the branch. And reaches the MMDA IOB Branch for transferring rupees 50,000 to Harish's account in the IOB Namakkal Branch. But at that time, there was no 'network' connectivity. Hence, the staff of the IOB MMDA Branch guided him to go to the Arumbakkam IOB Branch, where he arrived. And finally, he could transfer the rupees 50,000 to Harish's account, just before the closure time of 3:00 PM. He is pleased and thinks the crisis is over. Harish has called Vijay Anand and thanked him profoundly, and says he will not forget this help for the rest of his lifetime. As Harish could not find Doctor Joseph, he met the Chief Administrative Officer, who had nominated Doctor Karnan to attend to his father, Muthukumar. Doctor Karnan meets Harish and says that since the closure time is nearing, he will give him medicine and a sleeping pill in addition so that his father will have a comfortable sleep that night. The next day, all the tests will be conducted as the first case, Doctor Karnan says. And, depending on the test results, a further course of action would be taken, he has stated. On hearing from Doctor Karnan, he is relieved of his anxiety to a greater extent. And he has met his father and been informed about the new Doctor Karnan. He is also relieved from the anxiety to a maximum extent. Muthukumar is relaxed after dinner and has had a nice sleep. Since he is relieved from the anxiety about his father's health, Harish has also had a good night's sleep. He feels that the crisis is over at last.
