First part explores the cloud computing in libraries. The second part is focused exclusively on the concept of e-resources. The third part is focused on the concept of ICT. Effectiveness of library services largely depends upon the Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Institutional Repository has been the area of core concern for the fourth part. The fifth part encompassed the chapters related to “Library Security”. The last segment (sixth part) of the book comprises the miscellaneous topics relevant to the main theme of the book.

Dr. Parveen Kumar, M.A. (Economics), M. Lib. & Inf. Sc., M. Phil (Lib. Sc.) and Ph.D (Lib. Sc.), is working as a Librarian at I.B. (PG) College, Panipat (Haryana), India. Prior to this he has worked as a Librarian at S.A. Jain College, Ambala City (Haryana), India. He is a life member of various professional associations, including IASLIC, ILA, IATLIS, HLA and DLA. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the field of library and information science. He has published more than 20 papers at national and international levels and three books to his credit. He participated in many national/ international level conferences/ workshops/seminars. His areas of interest include application of ICT in libraries, library networking and resource sharing among libraries. He is also member of an editorial board of International Journal of Library Science and Research.
