About The Book

There have been no innovations requiring a new edition for an INTRODUCTION TO FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING text for a few decades. I expect this edition to have a 20-year shelf life.

New editions sell for about $260. Used editions, usually only 2 or 3 years old, sell on sites like Amazon.com for about $30. Publishers charge about $30 to rent the new edition of a text. I have decided to set an e-book price at about 10% of the cost of 1] a used older edition or 2] a rented newer edition, at less than $3.
The rented texts tend to have a feature that causes the e-book to delete itself after 6 months, to preserve the market for the publisher. My e-book does not have this self-destruct feature.

Encourage faculty to adopt this low cost text. In the interim, I will keep the cost of the e-book modest, so that you can afford to purchase it.

Oh, yes, another textbook is "in process." My next textbook will be an INTRODUCTION TO MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING. It will also have a 20-year shelf life, and will be completed and available in 2018.
