Behaviour emanates from relationships and relationships are sustained from behaviour. Both are mutually inclusive. There are innumerable types of human relationships—parents and offspring, doctors and patients, legal practitioners and their clients, students and teachers, the rulers and the ruled, employers and their employees, humans and their pets, humans and other members of the fauna, humans and members of flora, humans and Nature and its elements and so on.
Bionomics of Behaviourism may be considered a masterly work. Herein the author has identified most of the main profane characteristics of human mind, like selfishness, hypocrisy and cynicism, and the genesis of man’s nature and the consequential behavioural exposition together with its bionomical impacts, while transacting with his fellow beings and his environment. Human beings incessantly manifest these behaviours. Notwithstanding their best efforts to coat them with the shades of different expressions, the real traits cannot be kept away from the other members with whom a man interacts continuously for long. Someone’s trait of selfishness or hypocrisy, for example, cannot go undetected by others interacting with him despite his clever tactics to hide it; the “cat will be out of the bag” some time or the other.
This book focuses on certain individual characteristic traits of human beings that have social dimensions. It deals with ethology—the science of character—together with the genesis of human behaviourism in certain realms, within and without. Most of the topics relate to psychological ethos and bionomics of the humans. The trait of selfishness as well as the consequential behavioural output have also been touched upon.
It will prove highly useful to sociologists, psychologists and many others constantly exploring why humans behave the way they behave. It will substantially add to the existing knowledge of bionomics of behaviourism.

Bhanuvikraman Nair, after retirement as a Senior Officer from the Indian Air Force, has been working as a Management Consultant. He undertook Work Study Assignments in a few Industrial Organizations in and around Baroda.
He is an astute and earnest pedagogue. He has been associated with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in the capacity of an Academic Counsellor in Management Studies. In all the works, one can see reflections of his intellectual as well as imaginative prowess, sense of humour and an inimitable writing style.
