She has published several research papers in refereed journals such as Journal of Health Management, Sociological Bulletin, Journal of Political Science, Journal of Exclusion Studies, Asian Journal of Development Matters and so on. She has presented a number of papers in national and international conferences such as International AIDS seminar held in Mexico in August 2008 in Mexico City.

Sahu has also presented a paper on 'Protecting the health of the poor: Social movements in the South, in October 2011 held at the University of Delhi.
