Prof. Sanjoy Roy, advocating for ‘Indigenous Social Work Practice in India’, is working as a senior faculty at the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. He has four years of working experience in development sector and in research and more than seventeen years in teaching at university level. He has published more than 70 articles/research papers in different referred journals/books and 13 books in National and International publications like Sage, Routledge, Rawat, and Atlantic in Social Work. He is the Vice-President of National Association of Professional Social Workers in India (NAPSWI). He is also associated Internationally with Encyclopedia of Social Work, NASW, USA, International Journal of Religion and Spirituality in Society, International Journal of African and Asian Local Government Studies, South Africa, International Journal of Social Work Values and Ethics, USA, etc. Prof. Roy’s research interest areas are Social Justice, Law & Human Rights and Empowerment for Disadvantaged Groups, and Indigenous Social Work Practice.
