The central theme of the book revolves around the identification of the contemporary specialized areas and practice domain of social work education in India and critical analysis of each of them from indigenous perspectives. The main argument of this book is that social work profession must seriously consider the specialized domains and its diverse utilities to practice from indigenous perspectives. Each chapter of the book provides a critical analysis of a specific area of practice identified as relevant to social work. The insights of the book will not only arouse interest in social work students to opt for their preferred specialization and to become specialized in future but also advance their learning levels on the same. The book is completely students’ centric, and it will serve as a reference book for undergraduate, postgraduate, research scholars, academicians, and practitioners in the fields of Social Work.
