When indoors-bound Ernest Lee is paired up with his nature-loving classmate Coral Ling for a science project, he unwillingly enters a nature reserve for the first time. The duo is accompanied by forest ecologists who introduce them to the world of dung-loving beetles. Can Ernest look past the poop to really see these awesome bugs for what they are?

Join the Earthkeepers in discovering the wonders of the little dung beetle and its big job in the forest! Award-winning authors Emily Lim-Leh and Pauline Loh come together with acclaimed illustrator Cheng Puay Koon to create this earth-loving book that is a keeper.

Cheng, Puay Koon: - Cheng Puay Koon is proprietor of a busy caterpillar hotel who sends off dozens of fluttering guests every season. She also habitually rescues baby guppies and stalks olive-backed sunbirds in their nests. After a long-ago stint doing various things at various newsrooms, where she also designed a brand-new newspaper, she decided to settle on drawing for a living. She has since illustrated more than a hundred books of different genres, including the Abbie Rose and the Magic Suitcase series, created with popular writer Neil Humphreys. She happily draws for the Singapore Zoo and Ministry of Education, and is thrilled to be a research and conservation artist of the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Lim-Leh, Emily: - Emily Lim-Leh is an award-winning author of 50 children's books. Her debut book Prince Bear & Pauper Bear was inspired by her journey of losing her voice to a disorder, which led to finding a God-given voice in writing. Emily was named Mediacorp's Singapore Woman Award Honoree for inspiring readers and is a recipient of the Public Service Medal (Covid-19) for her informational children's e-picture books for the community. She hopes that this picture book can lend a little voice to some earth-loving and earthkeeping in our community. Emily blogs at Mum-Mum's the Word.

Loh, Pauline: - Pauline Loh is an award-winning author and creative writing teacher. She has written 15 adult non-fiction books, 5 Young Adult books, 9 children's storybooks, and 3 junior chapter books. Childlike wonder and unfettered imagination are what she aspires to. She believes that children are our future, and we should bequeath them the best resources possible, instead of a depleted planet. To that end, she hopes that this picture book will inspire children, and their adults, to tend and nourish the earth.
